First Semester Classes

Here's are some detailed descriptions of the classes you are required to take in your first semester for the Automotive Marketing Diploma Program:

  • Automotive Networks - This course is designed to educate students about the importance of relationships in the automotive industry and how to network within it. Each week there is a selected speaker that comes in to present a lecture to all the students in the course. These speakers are very recognized people in the industry and will provide students with important knowledge for network in their future career and educational opportunities.
  • Concepts of the Automotive Industry - This course teaches students about the history of the automotive industry. It is important for students to know where their current and future opportunities initially came from and how it continues to develop.
  • College Communications - This is mostly a review from high school English. This course goes over basic language use as well as analyzing, researching, and proofreading.
  • Introduction to Marketing - This course will examine how to market products to consumers and consumer behaviors. This is one of the most interesting classes, in my opinion!
  • Financial Accounting Principles - As this is a business program it is important for students to be familiar with accounting. This course teaches students about assets, liabilities, equity, balance sheets, income statements and so on.
  • General Education - Each student is required to take a couple of general education courses that consist of various types of classes like psychology, photography, politics, etc.
